Rachel Cuninghame, PhD abd, M.S., CPT

I am a wellness expert pursuing my PhD in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Sciences at Old Dominion University, and am in constant pursuit of self-improvement. While my professional qualifications help, I believe I am in a position to help you because of my personal experience. I have had a front seat all aboard the struggle bus myself and have overcome many obstacles through trial and error. My path has not always been linear with sunshine and rainbows! I have been a heavy weightlifter, a cardio bunny, heavier than I've ever wanted to be and skinnier than I ever should have been. I have overcome using substances to change the way I feel, emotional eating, severely negative body image issues which then were replaced by fitness identity issues (fitness became my identity and sense of self and I never measured up), yo-yo dieting, and even overcoming the feeling of being a floating amoeba with no sense of purpose and direction. 

For me, an integrated health and wellness approach addressing all aspects of the mind, body, and spirit was the key to long-lasting happiness and success. Which is why I founded CoVA Wellness. I couldn't keep this to myself. I want to share it with the whole world. Through my experience, passion, and connection to other scientific experts, my goal is to empower you and help you discover how beautifully and wonderfully made each and every one of you are. ​

Jacquelyn Moxey, PhD abd, M.S., CPT

I am a fitness and wellness professional pursuing my PhD in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation at Old Dominion University and my passion is in helping people achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle...for good! The fitness industry bombards us with a plethora of (mis)information, which leads to unrealistic body standards and yo-yo dieting, causing us to become overwhelmed and frustrated. I'm here to help you break that cycle and learn to love the journey right where you are...today! I will provide you with the education, guidance, and support to create sustainable lifestyle changes. I take an individualized, science-based approach to making lasting lifestyle changes that will help lead you to your personal wellness goals.

 

Through my research and years of experience in the field, I know the path to wellness is different for each individual, which is why I will get to know you personally and we will work together to develop a program that will work for you! My goal is for you to feel confident in making permanent changes while never feeling restricted or overwhelmed, but empowered to achieve wholeness!
